These are only cases recorded in hospitals, and the actual number may be significantly higher.
On Wednesday, the Health Ministry in Gaza reported that 10 Palestinians have died of malnutrition in the past 24 hours, as food remains scarce in the enclave after more than 21 months of Israeli military operations.

These latest deaths bring the total number of people who have died from malnutrition since the beginning of Israeli attacks in October 2023 to 111, including 80 children.
In fact, 46 minors have died from starvation and malnutrition just in July alone, according to Zaher al-Waheidi, the Health Ministry’s director of information. However, these are only cases recorded in hospitals, and the actual number may be significantly higher.
Gaza is facing one of its most critical humanitarian crises due to Israel’s prolonged blockade on the entry of food, water, medicine and fuel — a situation that has sharply increased such deaths in recent weeks.
Since March 2, Israel has barely allowed the entry of supplies into Gaza — including food, water, medicine and fuel — despite the United Nations stating it has enough food stockpiled to feed the entire population of Gaza for the coming months.
Hospital directors across Gaza have warned for days that large parts of the population are severely weakened, with growing numbers of patients arriving with symptoms of starvation and frequent fainting spells. Some families are reportedly trying to silence their children’s hunger and crying by giving them salt water.
Additionally, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed near militarized compounds — one in central Gaza and three in the south — operated by the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), or in attacks near military checkpoints where some UN trucks have been allowed to enter.
